Yassine Er-Rekhamy was born in the South of Morocco and grew up in Marrakesh. Ever since he was inspired from the world around him: the lively old town with its colours, aromas, souks and people.

Telling stories was his talent, so he started taking pictures by an early age. He studied Cinema, Audiovisual and Arts of Photography at the University of Marrakesh and started working as a camera assistant on events and festivals.

When he is not behind the camera, you can often find him exploring new locations, immersing himself in nature or seeking inspiration in art galleries and exhibitions. He believes that a well-rounded life is essential for fueling creativity and he constantly seek out new experiences and perspectives that influence his work.

For him working with people is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a photographer. Building connections, understanding individuals’ stories, and creating a comfortable environment during the shoot are all vital elements of his process. He knows that when his clients feel at ease and genuinely enjoy the experience, it reflects in the final images.
